Who says that golf is a sport only for men? Its popularity has been increasing these pasts decades, and reports are finding out that the number of women golfers has risen significantly. Golfing is now a sport equally divided between man and woman, proving that anyone can play it well. Although strength plays a big part in playing golf, a woman can easily make up for her shortcomings by using women's golf clubs, which even out the odds perfectly. Now, both sexes have equal playing field when in a golf course, and professional women golfers are catching up to men in both skill and number.
What are the differences between men and women's golf clubs? Golf clubs designed specifically for women are, in general, shorter, lighter and more flexible shafts than golf clubs for men. These changes are in order to stabilize the advantage that men may have over women in the sport golf: men naturally grow taller, and are stronger than women. By using women's golf clubs, a female is not cheating, nor is she admitting any weakness. Buying a golf club for women is like customizing one according to one's tastes. In the past, women either had to put up with the heaviness and extra length of an ordinary golf club, or have one especially customized for their use. Customization of golf clubs is a pricey process, which is why women's golf clubs are now widely available and can simply be bought from a store. Some companies and brands even specialize in golf clubs for women.
So how may one purchase a woman's golf club? First, she must realize that there are many different types of clubs that can be bought. She must be fully aware of her own wants and needs concerning clubs. Some women are happy with a golf club that is simply shorter in length, while others focus on the more controllable design of the woman's golf club. Determining one's choices beforehand will make buying women's golf clubs so much easier.
The three types of golf clubs are as follows: woods, iron and short game. Buying a wooden golfing club for women means purchasing one that is lighter, so that it will be easy for females to swing faster and achieve more distance with golf clubs. Wooden golf clubs for women are also generally shorter, and one should buy one suited to their height. Asking about the ideal length for one's height is recommended. For woods that don't have any specified size, however, that means that they are suited for women with heights ranging from 5'5" to 5'9".
Irons for women are designed to be a lot lighter than normal irons, so that they are easier to control when swinging the club. The heads of the clubs are generally bigger than usual, so that it makes hitting the ball much easier. Lastly, short games for women are usually lighter, shorter so that they are more comfortable as whole. Novice golfers generally rely on putters to get by, but it is ideal for even the putter to have the right length. This way, one will be able to use women's golf clubs properly and efficiently.
