The people have diversity of language and religion. Countries like India, Rome etc are oldest civilizations in the world with a kaleidoscopic diversity and their rich cultural heritage. People from different sects and communities live in true harmony and spirit. Ours is a land with many religions and so are the followers. It is rich in its biodiversity. There is a rich flavor of different tastes, languages, manners, customs, traditions and habits living at the same place, yet there is an air of communal disharmony prevailing. <br /> <br /> Suddenly this picture of peace and harmony is tarnished and winds of communal hatred start to blow. Certainly it is we people who have created an unhealthy atmosphere by mixing religion with politics and by mixing caste and creed and an unending saga of partition revolts resurfaces. <br /> <br /> The global community is faced with many problems as far as peace is concerned. Communalism is one of the gravest of these problems. It is also a big threat to the unity and integrity of universal brotherhood. Inhumane face becomes dominant over the innocence when thousands of people are killed in one blow. Anti social and anti-national elements prevail all around which target and exploit the religious feelings of innocent people. It is very painful and unfortunate to see the merciless and rampant killing of human species.<br /> <br /> It is the corrupt, faceless and dishonest leaders who are to blame for communal unrest. They fan the fire of communal hatred and provoke people against each other and often result in civil strifes. They are often found playing in the hands of foreign elements for the sake of a few pieces of silver. There wicked designs and nefarious intentions are not seen by the innocent people. Thus it can be said that the evil of communalism is eating into the bones of global society as far as peace is concerned. Therefore it is duty of every earthly being to fight these forces of destruction tooth and nail.<br /> <br>
