Get Paid for Your Articles through
Revenue Sharing Networks
If you are a Web site owner who’s been around for some time, you must have
heard of article marketing. You would have written articles related to your Web
site and submitted them to prominent article directories, related Web sites, e-zines,
and newsletters. As your reward, you would have got some fabulous backlinks that
have given quite a boost to the traffic at your Web site. But, what if you get
paid for writing those articles? Sounds strange? Why would anyone pay you for
writing articles to promote YOUR Web site? It is quite possible if you combine
article marketing with revenue sharing networks.
Let’s see how posting articles on revenue sharing networks is different from
posting them on article directories. As you know, most article directories are
free to use. Publishers can look for relevant articles and use them on their own
Web sites for free. But, despite their free nature, directories still manage to
generate profits through the advertisements placed on the article pages. If you
open your article on any article directory, such as Go Articles or
EzineArticles, you would see numerous advertisements displayed at prominent
places next to your article. So, the directory is basically selling ad space to
advertisers for a fee.
And this is where revenue sharing networks work differently from directories.
Revenue sharing networks give you a part of the revenue generated from the ads
placed on your articles. Some revenue sharing networks would give you as much as
50% of the profits from the ads on your articles. Typically, here’s what happens
when you join a revenue sharing network:
You create a free account with a revenue sharing network. You just
need to provide your name and other details, such as your Google AdSense
Publisher ID. Once you do so, you get a customized Web site where you
can post your articles.
You start submitting articles to your customized Web site. As with
article directories, you can include a signature box with backlinks to
your other Web sites. Some revenue sharing networks will also allow you
to display videos from youtube or Google Video to enhance your article’s
visiblity.
Your AdSense publisher ID is inserted in all your articles.
Approximately half the page views on your article will display your
AdSense ads.
Your article is distributed to top social bookmarking sites on the
Internet. This gives you an opportunity to attract traffic from these
sites.
Most revenue sharing networks also give you a share of the revenue
from articles posted by any friends you refer.
The best part of revenue sharing networks is perhaps that you don’t have to
do anything extra. If you were already writing for article directories or for
your own Web site, you just continue to do what you did. The only difference is
that by posting your article on a revenue sharing network rather than a
directory, you start making more money from your articles.
